The Daily Wash
A question we are frequently asked is: How often should we be washing our hair? As you twirl your hair without even realizing it, could viruses be lurking there?
It's possible, yes… but because the natural oils that cover strands act as a protectant, they do have some contact killing properties, limiting how well organisms can bind to the hair.
But we can't rely on natural oil production alone, especially since it varies for each person and hair type, so the best way to stay safe is to wash your hair. Every day.
What You Should Know: Triamino Copper Complex (part of all Tricomin Clinical formulas) is a microorganism disruptor and can interrupt the vital processes and their spread.
Quality shampoo like our Densify Shampoo contains charged molecules that bind to dirt, oil, bacteria and viruses and wipe them out or eradicate them. So washing hair will prevent whatever matter is on the hair from being retained.
What’s more, because we are obsessed with hair and scalp health, we use the botanical extract, Mentha Piperta (Peppermint) Oil for its antiseptic and antimicrobial properties, giving clean a whole new meaning for scalp and strands.
Hair is made of a tough protein called keratin and forms the base of the hair follicle where it divides and grows to make the strand.
But once the hair is at the skin's surface, the cells within the strand of hair aren't alive anymore so it’s really important to feed protein back to the strands. For that, we use Hydrolyzed Quinoa because it is considered a complete protein, containing seventeen amino acids, including all eight essential amino acids. Because it penetrates into the hair shaft, it provides powerful protection and moisture retention.
And Scutellaria Baicalensis Root Extract, known to provide antioxidant protection, essential nutrients and humectants.
In the end, as long as you’re washing your hands frequently – and your hair daily --- you can continue twirling your hair whenever you like.
